Naija Worldwide Charities (NWC) is a charitable organization, legally registered as a 501c3 in the state of Maryland, USA. We strive to build a foundation of self-reliance and lasting solutions for issues affecting the vulnerable - women, youth, and orphans - on a worldwide platform with special emphasis within the Continent of Africa. We develop and support initiatives, projects, programs and services that provide essential resources – funding and relationships.
Educational initiatives: NWC provides information to individuals, communities and governments to address the growing concerns regarding continuous educational deficit and decline in the continent; devise measures to be taken to stem the tide. We create programs for family and community involvement in educational projects such as acquisition, repair, and maintenance.
Community Forums: NWC provide forums where communities in Africa, America and worldwide can speak frankly and openly about educational issues that impact on them.
Humanitarian Relief Efforts: NWC will recruit, prepare and mobilize people of all ages and backgrounds in organized efforts to respond to the unmet human needs of children, families, and communities in crisis.
Strengthening the Capabilities of Women: by providing support for income-generating enterprises so they can meet the needs of their families independently.
Establishing Free Community Health Clinics: Making basics health care services available to all will significantly reduce the mortality rate among children due to preventable diseases such as malaria that accounts for more than 40 percent of all deaths among children. According to the Centers for disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
In 2012, malaria caused an estimated 207 million clinical episodes, and 627,000 deaths. An estimated 91% of deaths in 2010 were in the African Region.
Empowering these children to take control of their lives will help in breaking the cycle of poverty
