Our Story

In the years since its inception, Naija Worldwide Charities has sought to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. We have also striven to make access to healthcare available to those who otherwise would not be able to afford it.

Naija Worldwide Charities has developed a holistic, multi-pronged approach to help the under-privileged in the developing world gain the lifelong gift of education and health through our core programs.

Why Give?

The Child

Naija Worldwide Charities places a special emphasis on the welfare of the most vulnerable members of our society – the children. In addition to the donation of money, books, computers, food and medicine, Naija Worldwide Charities continually strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.

You can make a difference in the lives of young children by donating to the cause.

Why Give

The Women

Women are the salt of the earth who carry the seed for the propagation of humankind. Yet, so many women are the subject of abuse, deprivation and lack. As natural nurturers, a little motivation and resources help them cater to their families in ways that would not have been possible without a little help.

From farming to trading and education, Naija Charities reaches out to the women at a grassroots level to educate and empower them for a more tangible contribution to their families and communities.

Why Give?

Oh, The Babies!

Infant mortality and maternal fatalities from treatable conditions inspired Naija Worldwide Charities to champion the establishment of a hospital in rural Nigeria. This project, which is still underway, requires the help of well-meaning individuals who love children and see them as the link to the future.

This hospital will provide free/heavily subsidized maternal medical care, training and intermediary nutrition/hygiene education to help avert/treat avoidable infections and conditions.

Why Give?

Hospital Equipment

During one of our several outreach programs, Naija Worldwide Charities saw first-hand the dilapidated state of existing hospitals in rural Africa. Some of the lacking amenities include: access to clean water, obsolete/non-functioning equipment – including X-rays and scanners, hospital beds, sanitary equipment, and the list goes on.

NWC has received donations of an X-ray machine, crutches, medication and hygiene products from a company in America, which were delivered to several hospitals in the States of Lagos and Abia, in Nigeria.  However, the need is still as intense as ever, and you can help by donating.

Why Give?

It sounds very simple, doesn’t it? A lot of us take it for granted because it is readily available, but did you know that so many people in other parts of the world do not have access to clean water? Most have to trek long distances just to fetch one bucket of water from unsanitary sources.

There is a very simple solution, in most cases. It costs less than $800 to dig a borehole, and install clean running water for a whole community. Consider how you can contribute by adopting a community and installing water for them. The project will be named after you and pictures/videos of the entire process will be provided to you, and posted here for posterity.

Why Give?

NWC is actively involved in enabling the future generation through the provision of educational material, including books, computers, school furniture and so on. We have already donated books and computers to several educational institutions, including the University of Lagos, the Abia State Government and individuals.

Partner with us in this drive by donating either educational material or money for the repair of leaky roofs and general refurbishing of rundown schools.

Why Give?

We’ll keep this really short. You have never experienced JOY until you see the happiness on the face of a child from receiving a simple gift. Backpack, clothing, shoes- you name it.

Why Give?

The Homeless

Homelessness is present in every country, and even here in the United States, we encounter this sad situation. Naija Worldwide Charities understands, empathizes and takes a step to reach out to those who are down on their luck.  Guess what? The storms of life come to all, regardless, and we must help each other.
